Tourmalet is a newly built ski residence located at the heart of a beautiful protected area within the ski resort of La Mongie. The residence faces south towards the Pic du Midi and the slopes of the Domaine du Tourmalet (the largest ski area of the Pyrenees!). The resort centre is 500m away and the cable car to the Pic du Midi observatory is a mere 300m. A free shuttle bus operates between the residence and the resort centre (09:00 - 18:00 - until 20:00 during French school holidays).
Tourmalet is composed of 2 buildings, both constructed in traditional Pyrenean architecture using wood and stone.
Facilities include free access to the indoor heated swimming pool (12m x 6m) with hydro-jet area (open 09:00 - 20:00), sauna, fitness and steam rooms (payable, 16 years +), covered parking (height limit 2.00m), launderette (payable), luggage room, telephone (payable) and photocopy and fax services (payable). Baby kits can be hired (cot with sheet & highchair, for babies 0-2 years). The loan of hairdryers, irons, ironing board, board games and bed guards is also possible (small deposit may be required & subject to availability).
The apartments are fitted and furnished to a very good standard of comfort and convenience, with everything you need during your stay. The decor is simple, modern and cosy. They all have a fully equipped kitchenette with 4-ring ceramic hob and extractor fan, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and electric coffee maker, telephone (payable), TV and furnished terrace or covered balcony.
Please note: the top bunk of bunk beds is not suitable for children under the age of 6 years. |
