Les Angles

Resort description

Les Angles is an attractive resort with one of the best ski areas in the Pyrenees. Ski trails offer picturesque views of quaint Catalan churches, forests and lakes. It has been a favourite resort for both French and Spanish for many years. The resort is best for beginners and intermediates and is great for families. Les Angles is renowned for having lots to do off the slopes, with the famous 'little yellow train' the natural warm springs and the 'Espace Bluneige' leisure centre.


Skiing in Les Angles

 

Les Angles is a resort perfectly suitable for families. This resort spreads out on a beautiful panorama of forest. At the bottom of the resort and on the Plateau of Bigorre, beginners will find a special area to practice and get improved.

 

 

Snowboarding in Les Angles

 

Snowboarders will enjoy the resort. They will find a snowpark composed of 4 different zones. The zones require different levels of snowboarding.

 

-         Slopestyle: Advanced and expert snowboarders,

-         Lakepark: Beginner snowboarders,

-         Handrail: Advanced and expert snowboarders,

-         Half-pipe: All levels

 

 

Cross-country skiing

 

Les Angles has 42km/26.2 miles of trails. The trails are in the forest and are located in

Pla del Mir, Lac d’Aude, Balcere and Font Grosse. There are free shuttles going from the village to the starting points of the trails.

 

 

 

 

Ski school

 

The ESF in Les Angles offers a variety of lessons of alpine skiing, snowboard, cross-country skiing, mono-skiing and telemark

 

 The “Jardin des neiges”, the “Club des castors” and The “Chalet des Bigorre” will welcome youngsters (from 3 years old) who desire to get familiarized with the skiing sensations.

Les Angles lift passes give you access to all the lifts of the resort.

The lift passes of skiing domain “Neiges Catalanes” give you access to the 9 following resorts: Les Angles, Espace Cambre d'aze, Font-Romeu, Pyrénées 2000, Formiguères, La Quillane, Porté Puymorens, Puigmal, Puyvalador.

 

 

 

The Skiing
The resort is mostly visited by intermediate skiers and beginners, with access to 180 individual pistes most of which are pretty tree lined runs. There is a busy snow park for the avid boarders, complete with half-pipe and quarter pipes. Not far from the village skiers can enjoy the relaxing, peaceful cross country trails through the neighbouring forests.
Après Ski
Night time isn't boring in Les Angles, infused with the pace and warmth of Catalonia. The bars and night clubs are buzzing until the early hours, and there are 17 restaurants including many of altitude, which are great to experience.
Amenities
Les Angles is great for families, and has crèche and day nursery, along with a choice of ski schools. The resort also offers a library and other expected amenities such as a post office, pharmacy, tobacconist, bakery and bank.
Activities
Alongside skiing visitors to Les Angles can visit the local bowling alley, ice rink or swimming pool or experience night skiing, snow shoeing, ice diving, ice surfing, take a sleigh ride or join in on a game of ice hockey. A must however when In Les Angles is to hop on the famous 'Little Yellow Train' and take a journey through the mountains passing stunning scenery, alternatively relax in the natural warm springs, surrounded by snow.
