SuperDévoluy

Resort description

SuperDévoluy is part of the Massif des Hautes Alpes, located in the Southern French Alps. It is a family orientated ski resort which offers a friendly atmosphere and generous sunshine. Purpose built in the 1960's, this great ski resort is almost unknown outside of France and offers an infinite range of snowy landscapes: deep valleys, limestone cliffs, lush alpine pastures and peaks.

SuperDévoluy

SuperDévoluy is in the Dévoluy Massif. This resort offers all the benefits of a large skiing domain: Diversity of runs, snow-park and cross-country ski trails. This is very much a family orientated ski resort with a superb ski area. There are slopes for all abilities and the lift system is modern and efficient. For your convenience, each ski lift is equipped with 'hands free' technology. With over 30km of the slopes covered by snow canons, you can rest easy that you will always be able to get back to your resort.

The ski areas of SuperDévoluy & La Joue du Loup in figures:

1 new 6-seater chair lift "Le Pélourenq", 100km of slopes, 2 connected ski areas: SuperDévoluy & La Joue du Loup, 60 slopes, 22 ski lifts (5 chair-lifts & 17 drag-lifts) 37km of artificial snow, 1000m vertical drop, 1 snow-park, 35km of off-piste skiing & 35km of trails, cross country skiing, mountain walking and snowshoe trails.

Competent skiers will have their breath taken away when they reach the top of the téléski du Pierra, at the top of the ski area at 2500m. The 360° panoramic views of the summits of Dévoluy, Champsaur and Ecrins are amazing and having taken a few moments to take it all in, 100km of skiing awaits you.

For children and beginners looking to learn and improve their ability, there is a selection of wide easy runs and nursery slopes for smooth and relaxed progress.

The top of the Sommarel drag-lift takes you to the foot of Pic Ponson (2375m). You then have the choice to ski down either "La Combe de la Truie" or the "Bonnet Rouge" (a good amount of accessible off-piste on both). Cross-over to the snow-park under the Festoure chair-lift and experience the banked corners and moguls before heading down a gentle blue back to either resort.

Snowboarding in SuperDévoluy

"Le Mushroom's Park" snow-park (1 hectare) is located at the heart of the ski area and is the meeting point for all freestylers amateurs. It has a very good reputation and this user-friendly, cool and trendy area is open to all with a lift pass. All abilities will find access into the park easy via a chairlift and then a gentle run. Jumps, pipes, tables, ramps and rails of all levels are available and these are even classified by colour like the slopes- green, blue, red and black. This snow-park is created and opened as soon as the snow conditions permit and many events take place through-out the season, giving everyone the ability to watch and learn from others.

Le Rama (2379m), Le Rocher Rond (2453m) and La Tête de l'Aupet (2627m), The Dévoluy is excellent for ski touring with marked routes within stunning mountain scenery.

Leading out of the resorts and up to Collet of Tât (1613m) is a further superb slope. 35km of prepared cross country trails through woods, clearings and over hills awaits you for skating and alternative styles.

There are also 30km of marked and safe pedestrian paths for walkers.
