Val d'Allos

Resort description

Val d'Allos is entirely timber-built, creating a unique warm and friendly atmosphere. Founded in 1937 as a purpose built resort, it boasts miles of skiing but without the crowds of other larger resorts. Thanks to its links with Pra-Loup it offers a change of scene, tranquillity and beauty along with some fantastic thrills. It is widely regarded as the finest ski area in the Southern Alps.


Val d’Allos

 

Val d’Allos is composed of 3 different and complementary sites:

 

-   Val d’Allos 1800: “La Foux” resort

 

- Val d’Allos 1400: “Village d’Allos” (traditional and charming mountain village) 

 

- Val d’Allos 1500: “Seignus” resort

All skiers will enjoy the resort. Skiers will benefit from a wider skiing domain: the “Espace lumière” (connection to Pra-Loup resort)

 

Snowboarding in Val d’Allos

 

 

Snowboarders will find a snowpark and a boardercross.

 

 

Cross-country skiing

 

Val d’Allos has 35km/21.8 miles of trails. The trails are located in the village of Val d’Allos 1400 and are alongside the Verdon waterway. There is also a Nordic ski trail of 14km/8.7miles.

 

 

 

Snowshoe walks

 

 

Val d’Allos has 10km/6.2 miles of trails dedicated to snowshoeing.

The ESF in Val d’Allos offers a variety of lessons of alpine skiing, snowboard, cross-country skiing, mono-skiing and telemark…

 

A kindergarten will welcome youngsters (from 3 years old) who desire to get familiarized with the skiing sensations.

Lift passes

 

 

Val d’Allos lift passes give you access to the resorts of “Val d’Allos 1500-Seignus”, “Val d’Allos 1800-La Foux” and “Pra-Loup”(Connection to “Espace lumière”).

 

 

The Skiing
The Espace Lumiere linking the Foux d'Allos and Pra-Loup has created one of the largest skiing areas in the Southern Alps, providing 170km of piste. It is great for all types of skiing; downhill, cross country and snowboarding, providing enjoyment for experienced and occasional skiers who will delight in the opportunities Val d'Allos provides.
Après Ski
A rather quiet après ski, the resort offers 1 nightclub and a range of restaurants from traditional mountain fare to pizzas, crepes and burgers. For those seeking a livelier nightlife simply visit Pra-Loup, which holds over 20 restaurants, several bars and a couple of nightclubs.

The resort offers a range of sports shops, some small supermarkets and a children's day-centre, along with other amenities such as bakeries, newsagents and pharmacies.
Activities
As well as the vast ski area, visitors can enjoy a snow playground, tobogganing, snow shoeing, snow mobiling, ice skating and even ice diving along with various craft workshops.

Driving distance: From Calais 700miles approximately 11hours 10minutes.
Airport access: Nice 80miles approximately 2hours 10minutes, Grenoble 185miles approximately 4hours, Chambery 200miles approximately 4hours 20minutes.
