In April, we visited Club Med La Plagne 2100, in Paradiski, where we found out just how well Club Med look after their clients.

As soon as we arrived at Club Med La Plagne 2100, our cases were taken to our rooms and we were greeted by the Club Manager and the Head G.O (G.O’s are Club Med Ambassadors). It was easy to feel instantly looked after.

“The most striking aspect for me was the professionalism of the lovely GO’s: all devoted to their jobs and always with a ready smile – amazing at the end of a long season!” Neil, Ski Collection Product Manager.

The highlight of the hotel room was the beautiful view overlooking the mountains, with the telecabine passing every so often. The rooms had plenty of wardrobe space for both ski gear and normal clothes; a desk, hot drink facilities, and a nice modern bathroom.

We opted to get out ski hire (all-inclusive) during the afternoon, to avoid queues the next morning. The ski hire staff were very helpful and the equipment was excellent. The ski locker area was spacious and the each room was assigned a locker (so a family of 4 would get 2 lockers if they had an interconnecting room).

In the evening, we went to the restaurant. The all-inclusive buffet was one of my favourite perks of the trip - the amount of choice was superb, there was plenty of options for hot and cold; sweet and savoury; starters, mains and desserts. After a long day of travelling and thoughts of skiing the next day, we all highly appreciated the buffet style!

The next day (after our first all-inclusive breakfast buffet!) our group was split according to ability; everyone appreciated the ski-in/ski-out layout, it was very easy to get on the slopes. For those taking ski lessons (all-included!), the ski school meeting point was just next to the terrace, it was a really practical layout.

The expert skiers made their way to Peisey Vallandry – it’s easy to ski to different places in Paradiski, the whole ski area is 425km so there’s plenty of choice!

“We had the opportunity to visit Club Med in Peisey which was very nice. I really enjoyed the BBQ on the terrace. The food was great, and the weather and views were amazing!” Marine, Ski Collection team.

Our one team member who wasn’t skiing on this day found that Club Med have plenty to offer non-skiers too! She spent the day walking, sitting on the sun terrace, and trying out the spa facilities.

In the afternoon we met back at the sun terrace, which was perfectly located to catch the sun all day long! Club Med serve plenty of snacks and refreshments on the terrace, including sweet treats, mulled wine and hot chocolate; a definite benefit of all-inclusive. There was always light background music or live bands on the terrace too, it created a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere.

That evening we met for aperitifs in the bar area (oysters, canapes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are also all-inclusive, and the bar is open throughout the day), and listened to a very talented group of jazz musicians.

Heading back to the restaurant, we were greeted with champagne, served by the Club Manager. We had definitely earned our large buffet dinner on this day and tucked into several courses each!

When talking to the Club Manager and the staff working at the buffet, you got the feeling that the staff already knew your face as they greeted you with a big smile – they were easy to approach and to ask questions about the food.

For those with dietary requirements, let us know in advance and we can contact Club Med for you to arrange a meeting with the Chef. They will guide you through the menu, and let you know what you’ll be able to eat during your stay. They can also tell you if they have special food in for you i.e. gluten-free bread.

Every day there is optional evening entertainment (all-included). The G.O’s put on performances, which were are enjoyed by people of all ages. It was obvious that a lot of effort goes into the choreography, outfits and backdrops. And it turned out to be great fun!!

The breakfast buffet really does include anything you could wish for – so we made sure to eat well in preparation for another full day of skiing!

Even in April, the snow quality was superb, obviously the higher up the better, and we were very lucky to be blessed with such good weather. Despite our accommodation feeling nicely-busy, the slopes didn’t feel busy at all! There were no queues for ski lifts and the pistes felt like they were yours.

On this day the expert skiers decided to take advantage of the large ski area and headed up to ski the glacier.

"Took a little while to get up to the Glacier at 3250m, but boy was it worth it! Spectacular views, clean fresh air, quiet slopes and that feeling your on top of the world. Nothing beats it!" Lyndsey, Ski Collection team. 


We were with ESF instructors who I could not rate highly enough
– they were incredibly good at helping to build confidence with the beginners. The intermediates took full advantage of the all-inclusive ski guiding with an ESF instructor. Ski lessons/guiding was a huge benefit of the all-inclusive nature, and it was great to have our ski passes included too.

The weather was perfect for skiing (or para-gliding)!

Overall it was a fantastic experience, and we really experienced how well Club Med look after their clients.
