French Alps resort Val Thorens wins prestigious ski awards
Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in France and indeed Europe, has this week been named ‘World’s Best Ski Resort 2013’ and ‘France’s Best Ski Resort 2013’.
The awards were delivered as part of the World Ski Awards, which serve to celebrate and reward excellence in ski tourism. Voting began back in August and results were announced on Saturday 16 November. Votes were cast by professionals within the ski travel industry as well as members of the public. These awards follow the Snow World Awards earlier in the month, where Val Thorens was named ‘Most Improved European Resort’.
