| Resort description |
The purpose-built resort of Les Menuires is situated in the Belleville valley, in complete contrast with the below old stone farming village of St Martin de Belleville, and the above perched snow-sure resort of Val Thorens. Once known for its controversial style, the architecture of Les Menuires is now under extensive renewal to make it a recommended place for sport enthusiasts as well as a for families.

Les Menuires
Les
Menuires is split into 3 main levels
The
highest level is Reberty, at the centre there is
Croisette and at the
lowest part of the resort is Preyerand. All have a selection
of shops, bars and restaurants.
The
village has been created to keep cars out of the way
and offers one of the best family spots in the 3
Vallées
La
Croisette is where the
lift leaves for Val Thorens and Meribel
There is a
free shuttle bus that runs though out Les
Menuires it operates from 8am to
11pm
A
bus runs between Moutiers, Saint Martin, Les
Menuires and Val Thorens everyday

Skiing in the 3 Vallées
Some of
the best off piste can be found in the Belleville
Valley
For intermediates and experts there is a great run
from Mont-Vallon down to
Meribel a vertical drop of 1450m
For the last rays of the day the Saint- Bon valley is

Skiing in Les Menuires
Les
Menuires is set above tree line and has almost
entirely open slopes.
The
majority of the slopes are spread across the
west-facing mountainside between Les Menuires and
Sainte Martin de Belleville
Les
Menuires / Saint Martin offer a large ski area with
three ski areas:The Mont de la Chambre
area, offers many lifts and long
trails above the resort. The Masse
area, is well exposed, and is
toward the resort offering the best snow.
The Grangerais and Saint Martin
area offers wide-open spaces and
a slope to the alpine village of Saint Martin
Les
Menuires provides a great range of skiing for all
abilities, with particular mention going to La Masse,
which offers advanced skiers some excellent blacks
and off-piste runs
Novices
are treated with equity. The nursery area is wide and
a specific lift pass is available to beginners to
help keep the costs down

Snowboarding in Les Menuires
In
the Combes-Bacca sector
there is a new terrain park with slides, pyramids,
tables and snowcross
There is
huge amount of terrain for free riders

Cross country skiing
There are
28km/17 miles of prepared trails along the valley
floor between St Martin de Belleville and Val Thornes.

They
have a variety of lessons on offer from skiing and
snowboarding to snow shoeing and cross country
skiing.
For
children aged 3 months to 6 years old there is the
children’s village with a nursery, mini club
and ski lessons.

| The Skiing |
| Les Menuires is part of Les 3 Vallées that many skiers rightly regard as the greatest of intermediate playground in the world. This massive lift-linked ski area is formed with the neighbouring resorts of Val Thorens, Meribel, Courchevel, and La Tania. The 3 Vallées has slopes of all extreme. On the edge of the traditional wide ski runs, the eastern side of the 3 Vallées ski area is waiting to be discovered: in the Saint-Bon valley and on the borders of the Courchevel ski area you will find sunny Moriond. The Saint Bon valley offers some of the most beautiful wooded sectors of the 3 Vallées. The western side of the 3 Vallées is represented by the Belleville Valley and at the top of the valley sits the imposing resort of Val Thorens and its circle of glaciers and peaks that reach over 3000m. Great skiing can be had from the very beginning of the season in the 3 Vallées and there is something for every one no matter your style or ability. |

| In Les Menuires there are 34 restaurants, 7 bars and 2 nightclubs. Les Menuires restaurants include La Marmite de Geant and Trattoria with its French ambience. You can also enjoy a concert in the evening at the Maurice Romanet Hall. |

| You can try ice skating, night skiing, snow shoeing, snow scooters, paragliding, dog sled rides and enjoy two outdoor heated swimming pools. There is also "Lugeland" - which is a toboggan descent on inflatable rubber rings. |
