Les Chalets du Hameau
Officially, the skiing is accessed, and return is made at the end of the day, via the resort shuttle bus (free daytime shuttle bus from the residence every 30 minutes from 08.30 - 18.30). Alternatively, doorstep skiing* is possible as you can cross the road, and ski down a gentle path (snow conditions permitted) that lead to the top of the Les Gerats chairlift 'and Aigue Marine blue slope down to Flaine Forêt. Please note that the path is not part of the official piste network and is used at skiers’ own risk.
Les Chalets du Hameau is composed of 70 colourful self-catering ski chalets built in a genuine Scandinavian style, Les Chalets du Hameau is all built in the 80's by a Norwegian property developer, they offer quality accommodation in a tranquil atmosphere. The pleasantly surprising Scandinavian style may bring to mind a Norwegian village, an Icelandic fisherman's cabin or maybe even a holiday cottage on the north-east coast of America!
The closest shops lie at the heart of the hamlet consisting of a ski shop, restaurant and bar. Between the hours of 7pm and midnight a FREE minibus service can take you to Flaine Forum or Flaine Forêt if you wish to go for drinks or dinner (contact the company direct in resort).
