What is Paradiski?
Paradiski covers 20 different resort 'villages' across Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry. Les Arcs includes Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 2000 and Arc 1950, while La Plagne includes Plagne Centre, Belle-Plagne, Plagne 1800 and Plagne Soleil & Village. With 425km of pistes and 2-equipped glaciers, there is something to suit skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities. Paradiski has excellent facilities and with its huge variation in altitude (1200m-3250m) there is a multitude of different types of scenery and piste to explore.
The world’s largest cable car, the Vanoise Express, opened in Paradiski in December 2003, creating the new ski area. The cable car crosses a wooded valley to link Les Arcs and La Plagne in just 4 minutes! This 2km long cable car, has made skiing exciting, by allowing skiers to take up a challenge and ski across the entire Paradiski area.
The resorts here vary from quiet modern developments to unspoilt traditional villages (like Peisey) so whatever you are looking for, it can be found here. Lunchtime dining can be found all over the slopes, so one day you can dine above Champagny and the next Arc 2000.
In the valley, the town of Bourg St Maurice is a great base from which to explore the different resorts that make up Paradiski, but also other resorts in the Tarentaise valley,
