Off piste in the 3 valleys – great itinerary in perfect conditions. Top of Le Lac Noir chairlift in La Masse area of Les Menuires, then 25-min easy walk. 1200m vertical drop right down to the village of St Martin de Belleville – if you know our way! Can see all of Val Thorens resort at the back.

My favourite moment is when I feel alone in the middle of the mountains, I can hear the silence and I feel really lucky to enjoy such a unique landscape.

Skiing from Montgenevre over to Italy and treating myself to a Bombardino – Advocaat and brandy with whipped cream – at 10 in the morning!

That feeling of accomplishment after you’ve completed a day’s skiing, and have well deserved après ski … that first cold drink is a winner.
