Meals delivered to your Ski Collection accommodation
You now have the option of pre-ordering delicious COOK meals to be delivered to your self-catered ski apartment!
Huski is a new food delivery service, serving pretty much the whole of the French Alps*. It’s owned by a team of keen skiers so they understand what’s needed when you’re on a self-catered ski holiday. It is basically like an online deli, with a wide range of meals and drinks, they can deliver direct to your chalet or apartment and you can pre-order through Ski Collection before you go... what could be easier? There's also a click-and-collect service in office hours from their headquarters in Bourg-St-Maurice and they offer extended opening hours on Saturdays!
There are a number of food options available, including pre-ordering a Welcome Pack that includes your first evening meal and breakfast for the next day. You can also opt to order a 3-night package giving you quick, easy (and tasty) dinner choices to enjoy in your apartment! Dishes like Boeuf Bourguignon with Dauphinoise potatoes or Lasagna al Forno with roasted vegetables, which will hit the spot after a day's skiing.
‘Huski’s Welcome Packs are brilliant. Rather than running about trying to find somewhere open to feed hungry fractious children when you arrive, you have something healthy, tasty and convenient all ready to go!’ - Tim Reed, Ski Collection Alpine Specialist
Huski has put together a selection of delicious, well-made and healthy meals from well-known partners, like the UK’s COOK brand, and will also work with local restaurants and suppliers for a genuine taste of the Alps. The range spans everything from Savoyard classics and international favourites to comfort food and stuff that kids love to eat.
The meals are designed around those on holiday so they are quick to prepare, good for sharing, and being frozen are easy to store and heat up even in basic kitchens. Please refer to your accommodation on our website to check what cooking facilities there are before you order.
How to order
Once you have booked your ski holiday, you can place orders 24/7 through our dedicated page on their online store, and they deliver daily with a range of timeslots. If your plans change and you want to top up, that’s fine. Just head online and order. You can even top up when you're in resort.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the food delivered to me?
Once the order is placed and packed up they will deliver it directly to your apartment. It will arrive frozen and oven-ready. If you have ordered before travelling they will make arrangements with your accommodation provider to make sure it’s all in place for your arrival where possible.
Where do they deliver?
Huski are able to deliver to almost all our resorts in the Alps! They deliver to the 3 Valleys and Tarentaise every day except Friday. Further afield resorts are delivered to 2 or 3 times a week depending on orders. You are able to choose your preferred delivery day when you check out.
* There is one exception, unfortunately Huski can't deliver to Chamonix.
What are the delivery charges?
You can choose your resort at the top of the shop page to see the current delivery charges including minimum order value and days of the week they deliver to your resort. There are three delivery charges; €9.99 for the Tarentaise including the likes of La Rosière and Sainte Foy, €19.99 for Portes du Soleil, Alpe d'Huez etc. You can also click and collect your orders from the Huski Headquarters in Bourg-Saint-Maurice for free. They are 60 seconds off the main road through Bourg - and have lots of parking for you to pick up your order and get on your way!
Can I heat/cook the food in my accommodation?
As a general rule, yes. Most of our residences have suitable cooking/heating facilities. However, please check your accommodation that will details which specific equipment is in your apartment. If you're not sure, please call us and we can check for you.
Can we pay Huski with cash on delivery?
We're afraid not. They're far too modern for that. Please order and pay online.
What happens if there's a problem with my order?
Huski will provide you with a contact number to speak to them directly to resolve.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. They've set out to create the best vegetarian and vegan menus in the Alps and we think they have pulled it off. They'd love to hear your feedback.
I'm travelling at Christmas. Can I get a Christmas dinner delivered?
Yes! You can order the Perfect Christmas Lunch menu. This comes with turkey and all the trimmings; from pigs in blankets and honey-glazed carrots with thyme to parmesan parsnips and of course Brussels sprouts, which are served with chestnuts and cranberries. There is also a vegetarian option.
I'd like to try before I buy!
We get it. We invited the team in to cook for us before we agreed to offer this service. However, they don't deliver in the UK but one of their partners, COOK, do and COOK shops are located across England and in Scotland and Wales plus they supply a range of independent farm shops across the UK.
What do you guys recommend?
Great question! Here are some comments from our team...
I loved the Beef Bourguignon – the meat was so tender. That would definitely be my top choice for a cosy evening in my ski apartment, it’d be perfect with a glass of red. The mango cheesecake was delicious too, really light and refreshing! (Alison)
I was impressed by the quality of the food, as I usually don't eat frozen food. My favourite dish was the Coq au Vin. This dish was fantastic and I even brought some back home! (Marie-Sophie)
The mouth-watering Beef Bourguignon was scrumptious. No need to cook whilst self-catering, get meals delivered directly to your freezer – just perfect! (Hayley)
I loved the tarts. Yummy. Also, the Beef Bourguignon was fantastic. The cakes are perfect for afternoon tea when you’re back from the slopes. I was surprised that they even do the sauces and dips to go with the meals. It really is a full service! I am skiing at Christmas and currently deciding what we’re going to order in, but one thing that will definitely be on the list is the Welcome Pack. That’s sure to keep tired and hungry travellers happy! (Claire)
As a really fussy eater, I was a little concerned about what was being offered, but I need not have worried. The Coq au Vin was really good and I recommend the dauphinoise potatoes. Delicious! (Molly)
I thought the food was very tasty and I can't think of anything better than to have your starter while your main course is in the oven and dessert is waiting on the side and you haven't had to peel anything apart from the wrapper! (Marie-Anne)
