3* Superior Le Chalet de la Lombarde (formally known as Montagnettes Lombarde) is located in the Lombarde area, which is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Val Thorens (100m). The ski slopes are a mere 50m away, offering you ideal doorstep skiing (snow and level depending).
With its southern exposure, the residence enjoys the maximum amount of sunshine and glorious uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains.
Le Chalet de la Lombarde is perfect for families and groups of friends and is in a quiet location. It comprises just 9 three-storey spacious self-catering ski apartments sleeping up to 8 people and 1 single level apartment sleeping 6, completely renovated for the winter 2013-2014 ski season and all with their own private entrances. Customer satisfaction is ensured at Le Chalet de la Lombarde and the service is close to that of a hotel with beds made up before your arrival, bath towels supplied and changed once during your stay plus cleaning products, tea towel and a bag of firewood are supplied.
Facilities at Le Chalet de la Lombarde include a reception lounge area, private ski lockers and free unlimited Wi-Fi internet access (1 connection per apartment).
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. Le Chalet de la Lombarde has private garage parking for the 3 bedroom apartments sleeping 8 people (included in the price, please check if you have an over-height vehicle, not applicable to apartments with sauna) and clients staying in the 3 bedroom apartments with sauna and the 2 bedroom apartments can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable) or reserve a parking space at Le Hameau du Kashmir residence which is located at the entrance to the resort (payable, subject to availability).
The loan of cots, highchairs, baby baths, DVD players, vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, blenders, raclette/fondue sets and Champagne glasses/buckets is possible (all subject to availability).
The design at Le Chalet de la Lombarde in Val Thorens is traditionally Alpine with the chalet-style residences made out of wood and stone. The interiors have a typical mountain décor and a very homely feel.
All the spacious self-catering ski apartments have a fully equipped kitchenette with built-in appliances: 4-ring ceramic hob with extractor fan, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and an electric coffee machine; a safe, telephone with direct line (calls payable), comfortable lounge area with flat-screen TV, DVD player (available on request and free of charge) and a fireplace - a real bonus for a cosy log fire on those cold wintry nights! Some of the 3 bedroom apartments also have their own private sauna.

3 bedroom apartment sleeping 8 (c 95m2) Living area with fireplace, 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 king-size bedroom with 4 single beds, 2 bathrooms with bath or shower and 2 separate WCs. Split over 3 levels. One garage for a small or standard car, 1 ski rack.
3 bedroom apartment with sauna sleeping 8 (105m2) Living area with fireplace, 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 king-size bedroom with 4 single beds, bathrooms with bath or shower, 2 separate WCs and 1 sauna with a shower, 1 private ski locker with shoes dryer. Split over 4 levels.
(*) This indicates that you can access to or from the slopes with ease (within 100m of the residence). This is subject to normal snow conditions in the resort at that time and to the individual skier's ability.
Price includes (2017/18):
Fully equipped apartment, bed linen with beds made on arrival, 2 towels per person with mid-week change, cleaning kit, 1 tea towel, end of stay cleaning (excluding kitchen area & dishes), 1 sack of logs, ski lockers, Wi-Fi internet access (in all apartments, 1 connection per apartment), flat-screen TV and DVD player (on request). Garage parking is also included for the 3 bed apartments sleeping 8 (not applicable to apartments with sauna).
Payable locally (2017/18):
- Refundable breakage deposit: €500/apartment (Visa, Mastercard or Amex). Please note no deposit, no keys!
- Local Tourist Tax: €1.65/person/day (guiding fare).
- Underground parking at Le Hameau du Kashmir residence: €77/car/week (pre-bookable, subject to availability).
- Public parking (guiding fares): Covered parking: €72.50/car/week (if booked more than 1 month in advance) or €79/car/week (if booked between 1 month & 7 days in advance). Pre-bookable online via: www.valthoparc.com. Cost in resort if not pre-booked: Covered parking: €80/car/week.

Reception opening hours:
Saturday: 08.00 – 13.00 & 14.00 – 20.00.
For all other days of the week the Reception of Le Hameau du Soleil (on Rue du Soleil) is open: 16.30 – 19.30.
