3* Le Hameau du Soleil in Val Thorens is split into two main buildings. Located close to the ski slopes Le Hameau du Soleil offers doorstep skiing (snow and level depending) in the 'Soleil' area of Val Thorens, on the Rue de Soleil with its restaurants, shops and bars (100m).
The residence holds a sunny position southern/south-easthern with uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and houses just 30 self-catering ski apartments. Le Hameau du Soleil is ideal for those looking for a central location, just 200m from the resort centre, with each apartment having its own separate outdoor access, wooden balconies and stairs connecting the individual buildings to each other.
Facilities at Le Hameau du Soleil include a reception lounge area, free Wi-Fi internet access in all apartments (limited to 1 device/connection), a luggage room (unsupervised) and a ski room with private ski lockers.
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. Le Hameau du Soleil has a covered garage (payable - limited parking space so booking is advised) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable).
The loan of highchairs, cots (sheets and mattress not provided) and baby baths (request at time of booking), Champagne glasses and ice bucket, hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, raclette/fondue sets is also available (all subject to availability).
The design at Le Hameau du Soleil in Val Thorens is traditionally Alpine with the chalet-style residences made out of wood and stone. The spacious and comfortable self-catering apartments are fully self-catered and include a safe, telephone with direct line (calls payable), a comfortable lounge area with flat screen TV, balcony and a fireplace - a real bonus for a cosy log fire on those cold wintry nights! There is a fully equipped kitchen with built-in appliances: 4-ring hob with extractor fan, oven (except in the apartment 4 people), microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine.

Fully equipped apartment, bed linen with beds made on arrival, towels (2 per person) with mid-week change, 1 tea towel, cleaning kit, end of stay cleaning (excluding kitchen area & dishes), 1 sack of logs (for applicable apartments), ski lockers, unlimited Wi-Fi internet access in all apartments (limited to 1 device/connection) and flat screen TV.
Payable locally (2018/19):
- Refundable breakage deposit: €500/apartment (Visa, MasterCard or Amex). Please note no deposit, no keys!
- Local Tourist Tax: €0.99/person/day (guiding fare).
- Optional covered parking: €77/car/week (limited spaces, pre-bookable).
Public parking (guiding fares): Covered parking: €77/car/week (if booked more than 1 month in advance) or €79/car/week (if booked between 1 month & 7 days in advance). Pre-bookable online via: www.valthoparc.com. Cost in resort if not pre-booked:Covered parking: €80/car/week.
