4* Les Chalets de Rosaël in Val Thorens is located in the newly developed area ‘Les Balcons’, at the foot of the ski slopes, offering direct access to the slopes from the residence (snow and level depending). it is just a short walk to the resort centre (500m).

Composed of two adjacent chalets built from larch wood and stone, Les Chalets de Rosaël allows you to experience the charming and authentic world of local mountain traditions. All of the 35 self-catering apartments at Les Chalets de Rosaël are welcoming and spacious, with panoramic views. The main building houses the reception, swimming pool and fitness room, sauna and steam room. Please be aware that there is no lift at Les Chalets de Rosaël.

Facilities at Les Chalets de Rosaël include free access to the private indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness room (open everyday 14:00 - 21:00), bakery delivery service for daily fresh bread and croissants (payable, pre-order the day before for delivery to reception the following morning), free limited Wi-Fi internet (for basic browsing & emails) access in every apartment, individual ski lockers with heated boot-dryers and a Savoyard restaurant, La Ferme de Rosalie, open every evening from 20:00. 

Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. Les Chalets de Rosaël has private garage parking (payable, max height 2.10m, limited parking space so booking is advised) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable - use car parks P0 or P1, 200-350m from Les Chalets de Rosaël).

Cots & highchairs (request at time of booking), Nintendo Wii consoles, raclette & fondue sets (all subject to availability).

All the apartments at Les Chalets de Rosaël in Val Thorens (Les Balcons area) have been recently refurbished and are fitted to a high standard of comfort and convenience. The interiors of the Superior apartments are traditional with a warm, cosy and homely atmosphere. The Premium apartments offer a contemporary décor with stylish new furniture.

They all have a living area with a pull out sofa bed, fully equipped open-plan kitchenette with hob & extractor fan, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, kettle & coffee-maker, flat-screen TV (with International channels), DVD & CD players, free limited Wi-Fi internet access (for basic browsing and emails), a telephone with direct line (calls payable), an open fireplace apartments sleeping 4/6) with 1 sack of wood provided (extra sacks payable) and a balcony. The Superior apartments are situated in the main building.

4 bedroom alcove Superior apartment sleeping 10/12 (102m2): 4 bedrooms each with 2 single beds, 1 alcove with 2 single beds. 2 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms; 3 WCs.

The Premium apartments are situated in the Mouflon Chalet

Please note: for any apartments/chalets at Les Chalets de Rosaël that feature bunk beds, sleeping in the top bunk is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years old.

Price includes (2017/18):

Fully equipped apartment, bed linen with beds made on arrival, towels, tea towels, cleaning kit, flat screen TV (with International channels), DVD and CD players, 1 bag of firewood (for applicable apartments), limited Wi-Fi internet access (in all apartments), private ski lockers with boot warmers (excluding chalet Bouquetin) and access to the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness room (open daily 17:00-21:00).

Payable locally (2017/18):

  • Refundable breakage deposit: €100/apartment - Please note no deposit, no keys
  • Local Tourist Tax: €1.65/person 18yrs+/day (guiding fare).
  • Covered parking at the residence (height limit 2.10m): €80/car/week (or €75/car/week if pre-booked at least 1 month before arrival; limited spaces).
  • Public parking (guiding fares): Covered parking: €72.50/car/week (if booked more than 1 month in advance) or €79/car/week (if booked between 1 month & 7 days in advance). Pre-bookable online via: www.valthoparc.com. Cost in resort if not pre-booked: Covered parking: €80/car/week.
  • Middle week cleaning €50/aparts sleeping 4/6, €100/aparts sleeping 6/8 & 8/10, €150/aparts sleeping 10/12.
  • Hire of extra bed linen: €11/single bed & €15/double bed.
  • Hire of extra towels: €5/pers.
  • Extra fire logs: €12/bag.
  • Bakery delivery service.
  • La Ferme de Rosalie restaurant (open every day from 20:00).
  • Only one pet per apartment is allowed and will be charged €55/week (payable locally). A valid passport for your pet is compulsory.
