Crossing types

High-speed - Get to France the speedy way on the high-speed catamaran. And you can relax with comfortable seating, a cafe, bars and a boutique onboard
Cruise - Enjoy the classic cruise ferry experience with award-winning service and top-class facilities, not to mention French chefs and friendly bi-lingual staff, all combining to create a truly French experience from the moment you drive aboard. The relaxed way to travel to France
Économie - Sail to the continent for less with the no-frills économie service. There's less of their trademark style but you'll still enjoy a comfortable journey

Pet-friendly ships

With the PETS Travel Scheme and as approved carriers for cats, dogs and ferrets under said scheme, taking your pet to France couldn't be easier. Your cat or dog can travel on any of the routes to France in the comfort of your own car.

Pont-Aven, Bretagne and Cap Finistère are all equipped with kennels. The Etretat, Baie de Seine and Cap Finistere have pet-friendly cabins. On all other vessels, it is possible to arrange an escorted visit to the car deck to check on the welfare of your pet.

Child-friendly ships

All of the cruise ferries to France (except for Etretat and high-speed ferry Normandie Express) feature play areas specifically designed for our younger passengers. The games rooms will keep teenagers entertained throughout the crossing with the latest video arcade games and air hockey to enjoy. In addition, leisure arcades found onboard Pont-Aven and Mont St Michel provide the ideal place for teenagers to enjoy themselves.

Why not catch up on the latest film releases in the superb onboard cinemas? All of the cinemas have comfortable seating and are equipped with surround sound for a true cinema experience. A selection of the latest releases is offered for all ages. All ships have a cinema or movie lounge except Barfleur, Baie de Seine and the high-speed ferry Normandie Express.

There are also swimming pools onboard Pont-Aven (indoor) and a small outdoor pool on Cap Finistere. The swimming pools are usually open between May and September, depending on route and weather conditions.

Onboard entertainment

There are a number of seasonal options to keep you and your family entertained while on board, including resident music duos and cabaret singers, close-up magic and headlining illusion sets, through to children's entertainers, cocktail pianists, tribute acts and DJ sets.

Portsmouth to Caen and Plymouth to Roscoff routes have entertainment on most crossings while longer routes, served by the Pont-Aven, Cap Finistère and Bretagne, are packed with variety! High-speed ferry Normandie Express and économie ferries Etretat and Baie de Seine have no live entertainment.

WiFi on board

Brittany Ferries provide complimentary access to the internet on board all their ferries as well as an enhanced service on board Cap Finistère and Pont-Aven (enhanced service payable). Note: The Wi-Fi is provided by satellite so it won't be as fast as you would expect at home or work. To optimise the service, there are restrictions on certain sites. So you should download media before you travel. To connect to Wi-Fi, you'll need the access code on your boarding card or cabin key.
