Les Menuires (3 Vallees) Information
The purpose-built ski resort of Les Menuires is situated at 1850m in the Belleville Valley within the Les 3 Vallées ski area - in complete contrast with the old stone farming village of Saint Martin de Belleville below and the snow-sure resort of Val Thorens perched above. Sitting on the west facing slope of the valley, Les Menuires is lucky enough to get the sun all day long.
Once known for its controversial urban style, the architecture of Les Menuires has undergone extensive renewal in recent years to make it a recommended place for keen skiers and snowboarders as well as for families. The original high-rise feel to the La Croisette, Preyerand and Brelin areas has been softened by the development of the Les Bruyères and Reberty areas with more chalets and quality ski residences made from local wood and stone, creating a true Savoyard feel.
Thanks to the quality of the welcome guests receive and its open arms policy to children and families as well as the attention to detail and the resort’s traditional French atmosphere, Les Menuires has definitely built itself a solid reputation of friendliness and hospitality.
Les Menuires has been awarded the ‘Family Plus’ label for many years now – guaranteeing successful family ski holidays. Les Menuires is also one of the more affordable ski resorts of the 3 Valleys ski area, not only in terms of the accommodation cost but also in-resort prices and dining out.
The overall resort of Les Menuires is quite long and spread out, slowly winding itself up the mountainside with different areas along the way: Preyerand, Brelin, La Croisette, La Sapinière, Reberty 1850, Reberty 2000, Les Fontanettes and Les Bruyères – all of which are linked by free resort shuttle buses or by the slopes.
Ski Collection offers a wide range of Les Menuires accommodation including 3 Star, 3 Star Superior, 4 Star and 4 Star Luxury self-catering ski apartments sleeping up to 14 people plus one 4 Star ski hotel. All Ski Collection’s featured accommodation in Les Menuires offers doorstep skiing and some are even ski-in/ski-out. Many also benefit from added facilities such as a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fitness room and spa treatments.
