The benefits of self-catering in the Alps

image Friday, 29, October, 2021

Previously there were preconceived ideas that self-catered accommodation = basic!

But, that's far from the truth, self-catered now means contemporary, spacious, and luxurious ski apartments, with finishing touches for a real 'home from home' experience. What a great way to finish your day on the slopes with a home-cooked meal using French ingredients!

Benefit 1) Authentic experience

Experience the French Alps your own way. Exploring your resort can be one of the most exciting parts of a holiday. If you’re out and about and see places to stop where you can sample local delicacies or try a Michelin starred feast, you can!

Benefit 2) Space

Our self-catering accommodation is usually spacious. A nice size communal living space makes it sociable, ideal for holidaying with family and friends. We have large self-catered apartments that sleep up to 16! Why not gather up your friends or family and book a group ski holiday!

Benefit 3) Pocket-friendly

Self-catering holidays are generally more pocket-friendly than all-inclusive ones, especially if you are good at sticking to a budget! We have some great tips on keeping your ski holiday costs down and some fab ski deals plus you can call our knowledgable team for pocket-friendly ski holiday suggestions or send us an email.

Benefit 4) Freedom

Set your own schedule. Want to have a lie-in and eat your breakfast at midday? Not a problem! You get to be as spontaneous as you want - great for adventurers, those wanting to see all the new things in resorts, and for those with children

Benefit 5) Home from home

Self-catered apartments and chalets have everything you should need. If you are bringing children, parents, or you have any dietary requirements, you can cook what you want, when you want, and bring whatever you need if you're driving. Most of our accommodation is a 'home from home' but with the added bonus of everything from swimming pools and hot tubs to open fires and reading rooms.

Recommended stays

Below we have listed three great places to stay, but if you would like advice on which accommodation would suit your group best, please send an email or call our friendly team on 023 9283 9310.
