Chalet des Neiges Hermine in Val Thorens is the most popular of the Chalet des Neiges residences, it is attractive to many families because although it is in a quiet district, it is still close to many of the amenities. The slopes are only 200m away, offering doorstep skiing* (for a non-beginner skier) and the possibility to ski back to within 100m of the main entrance of the residence via the Retour/Plein Sud slope. These self-catering ski apartments are located in two chalets made from traditional stone and wood and offer wonderful southern views of the valley and the ski area.
Facilities at Chalet des Neiges Hermine include free access to the private indoor heated swimming pool and sauna (except Saturdays), luggage room, laundry (laundrette available at the opening hours of the reception, subject to availability), secure ski lockers with heated boots rack (subject to exception), free Wi-Fi internet access in the main reception, free Wi-Fi internet access in all apartments, and a bakery delivery service for daily fresh bread, croissants and pastries (payable, to be pre-ordered at reception the day before for delivery to your apartment the next morning).
Guests may also enjoy free access to the sauna and fitness room of nearby Plein Sud (200m) plus other spa facilities, such as beauty treatments and massages (payable).
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residence’s car park or one of the public car parks in the resort; you are not allowed to park in the street. Chalet des Neiges Hermine has covered parking (payable) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable and pre-bookable).

All the stylish self-catering apartments at Chalet des Neiges Hermine in Val Thorens are fitted and furnished to a very high standard of comfort and convenience. With a traditional solid wood interior, warm colours and a very homely feel, these apartments have all the comfort you need to enjoy your stay. Chalets Cocoon is a small, exclusive residence of just 10 self-catering apartments offering superb views and ski-in/ski-out convenience. Beautiful interior boast designer touches and facilities include a swimming lane and private hot tubs. Chalets Cocoon is ideally situated in the Balcons area of Val Thorens, just 300m from the centre of the resort. Chalets Cocoon opened in December 2018.
4* Le Hameau du Kashmir is ideally located at the entrance of Val Thorens, just metres from the mid station ski lifts, offering you ski-in/ski-out possibilities (snow and level depending) onto the Plein Sud ski slope. The resort centre, shops and sports centre are only 5 minutes walk or a short shuttle-bus ride away from Le Hameau du Kashmir ski apartments.
Koh-i Nor in Val Thorens is an impressive modern 5* luxury ski residence, located on the Plein Sud ski slope offers doorstep skiing (snow and level depending) however please be aware that it is a blue slope out and back, so not ideal for beginners. Koh-i Nor won France's best ski hotel at the World Snow Awards in 2016.

Hotel Pashmina le Refuge is one the resort's latest 5* luxury hotels. Located towards the top of the resort in a quiet location, yet just 150m from the resort centre, and right on the pistes, the hotel offers ski-in/ski-out convenience. This beautifully designed and stunningly decorated hotel offers a true luxury experience. It's home to the Michelin-starred Les Explorateurs restaurant and has a range of dining options as well as superb facilities.
The highly popular 3* Hotel le Sherpa enjoys a wonderful position in the quiet Plein Sud area at the top of Val Thorens (on Rue de Gebroulaz) with spectacular views over the resort and its peaks. Ski convenience is excellent: you put your skis on just 30m from the front door and ski through the resort for about a minute to get to the ski school meeting point (snow and level depending).
