5* Koh-i Nor, the 'Jewel' of Val Thorens, is an impressive modern luxury ski residence, meaning 'Mountain of Light' in Persian, is, in fact, a 105,602 carat diamond (21.61g) currently mounted on the Queen's crown of the British Royal Family and was once the largest diamond in the world. The Koh-i Nor diamond has passed through several hands over the centuries: the Mongol Khans, the imperial court of Afghanistan, the palace of the Rajas of India and finally to the British Crown.
Consisting of only 35 luxury self-catering ski apartments, Koh-i Nor is elegant with a subtle mix of mountain style and modern design. The views over the resort from the Koh-i Nor ski residence are amazing and the shops, bars and restaurants are a short walk downhill. The Ecole de Ski Francais (ESF) ski school is about a 10-minute walk downhill (allow a little longer to walk back!). There is a free resort shuttle bus that operates every 20 minutes or you can ski down. The residence offers as well a free resort shuttle (on request, depending on times, subject to availability).

Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. Koh-i Nor has underground parking (1 free car space/apartment, extra car space €95-€125/week) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable).
*Prepaid cards are also available to access the restaurants of the hotel (to be pre-booked in advance).
The loan of cots, highchairs (request at time of booking), raclette, pierrade and fondue sets is also possible (all subject to availability).
The stylish self-catering ski apartments at Koh-i Nor in Val Thorens are modern, well designed and luxurious. The use of stone, dark wood and plush furnishings throughout create a warm and inviting atmosphere. They all have a fully fitted kitchen with electric oven, 4-ring hob with extractor fan, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker; satellite TV, in the living area and master bedroom, and telephone with direct line (calls payable), balcony and a safe in the apartment, free Wi-Fi internet access, at least one bath and/or shower room and all beds have duvets.

Chalets Cocoon is a small, exclusive residence of just 10 self-catering apartments offering superb views and ski-in/ski-out convenience. Beautiful interior boast designer touches and facilities include a swimming lane and private hot tubs. Chalets Cocoon is ideally situated in the Balcons area of Val Thorens, just 300m from the centre of the resort. Chalets Cocoon opened in December 2018.
4* Le Hameau du Kashmir is ideally located at the entrance of Val Thorens, just metres from the mid station ski lifts, offering you ski-in/ski-out possibilities (snow and level depending) onto the Plein Sud ski slope. The resort centre, shops and sports centre are only 5 minutes walk or a short shuttle-bus ride away from Le Hameau du Kashmir ski apartments.

Les Chalets de Rosaël in Val Thorens is located in the newly developed area ‘Les Balcons’, at the foot of the ski slopes, offering direct access to the slopes from the residence. The resort centre is a short walk away (500m).

Hotel Pashmina le Refuge is one the resort's 5* luxury hotels. Located towards the top of the resort in a quiet location, yet just 150m from the resort centre, and right on the pistes, the hotel offers ski-in/ski-out convenience. This beautifully designed and stunningly decorated hotel offers a true luxury experience.
The highly popular 3* Hotel le Sherpa enjoys a wonderful position in the quiet Plein Sud area at the top of Val Thorens (on Rue de Gebroulaz) with spectacular views over the resort and its peaks. Ski convenience is excellent: you put your skis on just 30m from the front door and ski through the resort for about a minute to get to the ski school meeting point (snow and level depending).
